Feb. 10th, 2008 03:05 pmDid I mention that Windy's Chinese is closed? Forever? My favorite Chinese place of the last 5 or 6 years is gone. No more pineapple fried rice. Or sweet and sour chicken that isn't cloying. Or fantastic general's chicken. All gone. Auf weidersehn, mein Lieb.
As it turns out, this means it's really difficult to get good (read, not cooked in peanut oil) Chinese food at 3pm on a Sunday. Happily(?), P.F. Chang's still exists. I guess it's time to pony up the dollars and see if their food is an acceptable replacement.
Sigh. I'm considering trying to find someone willing to drive to Chico to see if the Windy's down there (which is/was owned by the same people) is still open.
