Okay, for the record. When making a recipe for the first time, under no circumstances should you 1) decide to substitute blood oranges for regular oranges; 2) forget that you're supposed to stir fry with veggie oil, not olive oil; 3) make the recipe for someone while they're watching you cook.

All in all? Not a success. Happily, Hunan Garden's orange peel chicken is significantly better than the poor mangled version I came up with.

Also, poor Patriots. But, Tom Brady, your throws sucked the entire game. Except for that one where you took the lead from the Giants.
