October 1st. A new month. A new status. A new plan.
I have graduated. I am no longer a student of Stanford University. My email account will vanish in 3 months. I am officially an alumna of Stanford University (the Western Ivy, let the winds of freedom blow, buck ferkeley, et cetera et cetera). Has anyone else noticed that while all the other prestigious universities have pretentious mottos in latin about knowledge and such, we have a german motto about the winds of freedom?
In celebration of this momentous event (ie, me actually finally graduating), I (well, actually, my parents) have bought me a present. Bon Jovi tickets. Because Bon Jovi is awesome. Unfortunately, NYC was sold out by the time I got there (1030--half an hour after they went on sale), but I bought a couple of tix for Boston. I know, I know, I'm a sucker for eighties bands. But it's only the third concert I've ever been to (the others being Live and They Might Be Giants), and we all know 3 is a magic/lucky/awesome number. Jamie said he'd go with me if I could get tix for NYC, but I dunno who I'm going to go with for Boston. Maybe my dad. That would be kickass.
And I don't really have a new plan, but it sort of fit with that whole new start thing. One can hope that I'll formulate something cool, though. Like a job (she says, as she's writing this at work...). I got to open the store today, and everything seems to be kosher, so maybe someone will recognize my brilliance in the workplace and hire me.
GRE in five days. God, so not ready for it. Who said October could come so quickly?! And just think, 2005 will end soon. There's a scary concept. I still remember New Year's 1988.
Time to innundate the store with the sweet, sculptural rhythms of Bon Jovi... ;)

Lemon Tea...
Strong willed and a bit feisty in temper you stand
out from other people! Creative but dangerous
you have few friends and those that have been
accepted into your small group are special and
unique just like yourself. Once your mind is
made up that's it and no one can change it. You
can think clearly and figure out just what to
do in a tense situation which is a rare gift.
You aren't twisted by societies rules and
regulations and are rebel by nature!
What type of Tea are you? {-With Anime Pictures!-}

my best friend from HS is a grad student here now...together we are contemplating how much work it will take to bring the Gauth dragon to life. (what color do you think Gauth should be?) and what was the website of your librarian friend who does the cool painting? my friend did military plastic models and airplane modeling for a while; he knows what he's doing more than i do :p
with your dad?

Your an original! Helpful to anyone in need and always willing to lend a hand, you take action but not through violence. People listen to you for you have a knack for giving wonderful advice! Many look up to you and you try your best not to let them down. You have many friends steadfast or no who consider themselves lucky to be near you. You may have been hurt in the past but you dont let that stand in your way! You have a wonderful outlook on life and try to see the good in people which is an awesome gift!"
I always thought of myself as someone way too cynical to try to see the good in every person... but hey, what do I know ;)
Rock on!
