i got my first gray hair.

damn you, archaeology! damn you, aging body! damn you, stress!

on the other hand, now i really can get a cane and trip little kids with it...

Same here. Grey hairs happen.
And kudos to Sandra for spelling it "grey" rather than "gray". "Grey" is the superior spelling by far.
