voting.

...I voted today. It was an interesting experience, compounded by the fact that I had to vote at Escondido Elementary School...which is a good half an hour walk or more from Potter. I'm not sure about these touch screen voting machines. I appreciate the fact that they're easy to use and that they allow you to go back and review your choices and change them should you desire. However...I keep thinking of all the possible abuses of this system. I mean, put those voter cards anywhere near a magnet, and *poof*, all the information is gone. Admittedly, you can't just have each voting machine linked to a mainframe, since that allows chances of hacks...but still. I wonder what new-fangled device they'll have come up with in four years, after this highly contested election goes through...
