Wow. That really caught me off-guard. Thanks for posting about this. To think, just a few hours earlier I ran across a Brokeback Mountain clip and thought to myself how much respect I had for Heath (and Jake) as actors after doing that film.

And I was really looking forward to seeing him as The Joker this summer. Much sadness.

AFAIK, "Dark Knight" had either wrapped before his death, or they've shot enough that they can work with what they have.

Agreed (though I think he'll be mostly there). The Joker in the trailer alone gave me the chills. Heath's Joker is most certainly not Jack Nicholson's.

Hmmm. And it's interesting, because people compared the new Joker's look to Brandon Lee in The Crow. Both may now be remembered as famous posthumous performances.
