"Eating healthier is not going well," she said, as she polished off a small bag of beef jerky. "I just get so hungry."
Plans got cancelled for the night, so I now need to decide whether I want to get a chair massage and be trapped here until 800pm or whether I want to skip the chair massage and go do...something else?

And I have a sweet tooth the size of Mt. Rushmore. :/

Date: 2007-09-01 04:42 pm (UTC)big plates of dark greens with things such as sesame noodles, or brown rice with whatever stirfry they have, or a ton of falafel/hummus/lentil soup with half a lemon squeezed over it. beans and pulses in general are a good idea here.
do the thing where you eat plain yogurt with whatever kind of fruit you like cut up into it. if there's any granola without nuts, put that too.
bean-oriented tacos are delicious, filling, and very, very healthy. they go less in the food coma direction than a big plate of enchiladas.
start eating the little mealy-snack boxes of actual food out of the minikitchens every couple of hours. also take them home and eat them late at night/on the weekend. steamed squash and a whack of salmon is definitely a god idea.
it is actually really good for you to be eating little bits frequently. it keeps your metabolism working all day and also keeps you from gorging on a bunch of junk all at once when you realize that you're starving. so, like, stick four pieces of fruit and two chunks of bread with some olive oil/hummus above your desk, eat them whenever you get hungry, and drink a lot of water or tea constantly.
