One of the things that I don't get to experience very often, but appreciate every single time I do, is the awesomeness that is the Google shuttle system. Here I am, writing this LJ entry, as I sit on a relatively luxurious shuttle (wireless, leather seats, cup holders, the works) headed to one of the many destinations I could have chosen in the city. Did I have to tell anyone that I was going to take the shuttle? No, I just showed up, waved my badge, and got on. And in the morning, I will do EXACTLY the same thing, but the destination will be my building on Google campus.

Admittedly, and no one should be surprised by this, I am also doing work. Currently, I'm waiting for a 20,000 row x 20,000 row VLOOKUP on my excel sheet to finish, which is why I'm typing here. I suspect I should probably post a real update, and if this VLOOKUP takes more time, I probably will. It's also stop and go traffic, so I hope I'll actually get some work done, despite my predilection for getting moderately motion sick when I try and do something like read, write, work, play gameboy/gear, etc, etc, on a car or bus.

In other news, I had dinner with someone I hadn't seen in a while. It went much much better than the previous two or three times. Some of you may recall a dinner where my date found a caterpillar crawling on me and that was the highlight of the date. Same guy, but much more reasonable circumstances, especially because it was not a date. So, it was good and lots of fun.

Other things. My cousin may be moving out to come to Stanford Law School. I told him he could have free lunches at Google if he wanted, and plus we have sunshine, which is much better than MIT drab and snow.

Oh, look, SFO is right there. How exciting.
