(no subject)

New York briefly felt like home as I walked back from the conference today. I caught myself shaking my head at tourists staring up at Times Square, as I walked quickly past them dressed in black suit pants, black sweater, black wool pea coat and sensible black heels.

Then I got back to my hotel, and realized that walking 18 blocks in sensible heels that I hadn't worn for 2 years was perhaps not the smartest thing I've ever done.

At least the conference went all right and I didn't get rained on.
