There's a beading store on University Drive, just past the Caltrain station - I can't remember the name, but they're super nice, and they often have middling-to-expert beaders hanging around the store. They also sell jewelry books, so you can either talk one of employees (or the people hanging out in the store) into designing something, or you can flip through the books, find your own design, and commission it.
