today, i am happy about: fortune cookies at p.f. chang's. Admittedly, the food there isn't as good as at Windy's (except for their lettuce cups, which I didn't have), but the cookies inevitably have some pithy comment which is actually relevant to my life. Sometimes, when I need guidance, I go to p.f. chang's for food specifically to read the fortune cookies. as a side note, having conversations about the cosmic relevancy of fortunes from fortune cookies, as well as the demographics likely targeted at various chinese restaurants, is also pretty nifty. So, when I was a sophomore and taking various drama department classes, I used to spend a lot of time in Rm 126 in MemAud at really late hours of the night. In this room, they have a lot of pictures of various theater lighting gel companies, including a company called Apollo Design, which has an emblem of the horse. Back in these days, Apollo was even less well known than they are, so they had a link on their homepage to something called "Fortune Cookie", which I thought might be equivalent to Google's "I'm feeling lucky" button. It actually turned out to be...a flash fortune cookie animation. I thought this was pretty neat, but proceeded over the next 2 years to forget about it. During senior/5th year, I tried to find it again, but they'd taken it off their site, potentially because it wasn't professional enough. But now, since I had that bizarre experience with P.F. Chang's last night, I did a Google search for "Apollo Design fortune cookie" and came up with http://www.internetapollo.com/about/fortunecookie.aspx . It's the same AWESOME animation that it was 5 years ago, with the same silly music. It makes me so happy, I can't even begin to tell you. And that's my happy thought of the day.

today, i am less happy about: the fact that it is THIRTY-SIX degrees here, and it's nearly fifty in MA. WTF, world?

today, I wish that: it were warmer, it were Christmas, that i were home, and that it were breakfast time right now. because i am hungry.
