It's equivalent to saying something like:

"Talked" in this case is in quotes, and thus implies that perhaps I didn't *actually* talk with the guy, but may have done something else. In the case of this bachelor party, the text says that we did nothing but sit around and watch porn. The implication is that in fact, this isn't true, and we actually went out and did things.
